Normalizing is a heat treatment process in which steel or various metal mechanical parts are heated to an appropriate temperature above the critical point Ac3 or Accm, held for a certain period of time, and then cooled in air to obtain a pearlite matrix structure.
1. Normalizing heating temperature and Hardness values of common steel grades.
2. Normalizing The calculation of holding time can refer to Quenching process specification.
3. Normalizing The cooling of workpieces is generally air cooling, fan cooling can also be used for large workpieces Normalizing , Spray Cooling , etc., to obtain ideal results.
1. Normalizing Workpieces with similar temperature process specifications are allowed to be processed in the same furnace.
2. For workpieces with high requirements on surface quality, heating shall adopt gas protection measures to prevent oxidation or decarburization.
3. Workpieces are generally charged into the furnace at the working temperature or slightly above the working temperature. If workpieces are charged in mutual overlapping, the holding time shall be extended by 1/4 accordingly.
4. The workpiece should be placed evenly in the effective working area of Furnace Chamber .
5. After the workpiece is removed from the furnace, it shall be spread out and placed in a dry place for air cooling. Do not pile up workpieces, do not place in a damp place.
